FinX- the Financial Xperts is the official Finance Society of College of Business Studies. It works in the field of financial education to help university students understand the complexities of financial market and helps them to become global business leaders. We impart financial education through reasoning, backed by knowledge and this process is facilitated by engaging the best minds to discuss and reach consensus.

We at Finx provide a common platform for all finance enthusiasts to measure the depth of sea named Finance through various techniques such as articles on our blog, our weekly e-paper “Weekly Pulse” and through various events. Since our inception, it has been our constant endeavour to help students learn and absorb the financial and economic intricacies that prevail in today’s turbulent times.

All through the year, Finx organizes various events to accomplish its objective of augmenting the financial acumen of students. Finomenon is a week long event which comprises of three main competitions, FinQuisitive-the finance quiz, Split Hair-the case study competition and Bulls and Bears-the mock stock. This intra-college event witnesses huge participation from the college and is instrumental in amplifying the quest for financial knowledge. Debt-o-blast is an innovative competition in which participants are required to go through multiple rounds of trading, bidding, auctioning, and quizzing within the same event to get rid of their virtual debt. Charged with twists, debt-o-blast seeks to make the participants aware about the details of many important financial concepts in a simple yet engrossing way. Continuing our pursuit of helping students unearth their FQ, FinWiz is organized in the month of January. Our flagship even, FinWiz is a pan university event packed with pure financial trading, where participants act as investors and compete to invest in companies and earn greater profits thus locking horns with concepts like short selling, mark-to-market margin, round wise new instruments etc. Providing the students with a virtual environment of the stock market, the event aims to give them a glimpse of how the market really works.

Leaving no opportunity to accomplish our aim of boosting the financial knowledge of students, FinX organized Smart Investor in the college fest, Crescendo involving news and demand driven stock price changes and auction process to decide the winners. FinX is also active on the social network site, Facebook where everyday, a “Word of the Day” is posted and explained.

One cannot be ignorant of the importance of Finance and we at Finx try to expose you to the vastness of it. We will continue playing our part in forming the future of finance by following our multi-pronged approach of spreading financial knowledge through our events, blog, facebook page, weekly e-paper etc.
